Pastor’s Note

Greetings! It is Fall already– although it doesn’t feel like it! It has been a short summer, and we are gearing up to a wonderful, filled Fall season. Sunday School has been planned for kids K-6, and we have a really fun curriculum this year. We will also be starting a Youth Café, led by Sarah Regan– a monthly Café where youth 17-21 can explore their faith, check out what the Bible says about stuff and have some fellowship time together.

We have a number of opportunities to join our Interfaith Community this Fall (see page 3). Felix Villanueva will be holding a Vision Workshop on September 30th. The Trustees, Diaconate and Council have been holding joint meetings, which has been going well. Starting at the September meeting, and going through April, the Joint Boards will take time at each meeting to discuss the book “Revive Your Mainline Congregation” by Robert D. Schieler. They will use it as a guide for a vision statement and mission plan for our church. A copy of the book is available in the church office.
